Private tutor in University City, MO
Education
Vanderbilt University - BA, Classical Languages (Latin & Ancient Greek), Philosophy (minor)
Experience
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Languages and Philosophy from Vanderbilt University. My choice of Classical Languages as a major stems from my bilingual background. I am pursuing graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania. It's my aim to earn a PhD. While I was working towards my baccalaureate degree, I studied in Rome at the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies. The time spent in Rome allowed me to garner a strong grasp of the historical relevance of the city in antiquity. Academically, I'm strong in the disciplines of linguistics, cultural studies, mythology, and history. My strongest area is the history of Europe from antiquity to the present day. I'm adept at tutoring algebra, Spanish, European history, world history, social studies, Latin, Italian, and Math. The ability to learn different languages is important for effective communication in a global society. It's my wish that classical languages become compulsory for secondary school pupils. Their inclusion would greatly aid in developing analytic aptitude. Besides linguistics, my other strong subjects are history, cultural studies, and mythology. As an educator, I try to offer a all-inclusive approach to mastering a discipline. When I have the time, I love soccer, gaming, and learning.
