Currently I work as Kindergarten teacher at a local Private Elementary school. I have worked in the Elementary or Early Childhood field of Education since I was 18 years old. After graduation I was a Kindergarten Readiness teacher for 2 years (2012-2014) Previously I was a substitute teacher for a local school district from 2010-2011. I have also been certified in Early Childhood Education. While in school I had a wonderful opportunity to participate in No Child Left Behind tutoring with a private tutoring company that partnered with local districts. For a year and a half I tutored children who were falling behind grade level, some 2 levels behind. My job was to pre-assess, create an action plan, tutor for several months providing frequent progress reports, and complete a post-assessment. I took so much away from this experience and all tutoring I've done since then I've approached in the same way. It is a wonderful model to follow. Hobbies

I have a two year old son so when I am not working I enjoy spending time with him and my husband. Whether we are outside swinging or riding bikes, taking walks, or kicking a ball or inside playing pretend I enjoy it all! I also enjoy reading, taking walks, and spending time with friends and family. Having a young child definitely helps me make connections with children and parents alike. I am a nurturer at heart and children are my career.
